Person research

The needs of the box were:   - Save place
                                               - Easy transport
                                               - Store everything inside in the box

Ethnographic research:

We started to investigate the people who work out and how they feel about it. What do they exactely think about the box? What would they change? What does they have to say? What would they change?

User research:

On wednessday we went to the gym at ' Lange Munte ' where we would interview the people that are taking care of their health by doing exercises. First thing we noticed when we arrived is that noone was using the box and their exercises.

It was 9:00 am when we arrived so still in the early morning, that's why there were alot of the older generation working out. We spoke to the guy who is responsible for the gym first because he knows the gym the best. He said that the younger generation always comes in later on in the evening because in the morning they are busy with school or work. We could immediatly tell that not everyone is mainly at the gym to exercise but also for the social aspect of it.

While inspecting the box we saw that someone seemed very interested in what we were doing and showed intrest to the box, so we decided to confront him and ask some questions. He said that he never used the box because everything on it is based on your own bodyweight and this can be hard for elder people. Also he believes that you would have to change the whole vision on how you look at the box and maybe just find some new exercises that you can ajust to it.

We mainly focused on family. Having the box in your home with all kind of equipment where you can exercise and have fun with your family. This is a compact way of having different options of exercises without having to buy all the expensive machines.
